The Per Annum platter and side table were inspired by the annual rings of a tree. This beautiful manifestation of the passing of time is eternalized in this design by cutting the tree in such a way that thre rings ar visible in all directions  and casting the reassembled tree in solid bronze. The bark is left untreated while the winterrings are polished and shiny, creating an interesting image full of contrasts. The objects were casted and produced by Fonderia Artistica Battaglia in Milan.
