Whereas the grouting between tiles are often seen as necessary but unwanted, they were taken as a startingpoint for the design of the Linea tiles. By using the grouting as a graphic element in the pentagonal tiles they become an essential part of the composition that can freely be made. Because of pentagonal shape of the tile and the fact that the grouting is part of it, a mosaique can be created whereby the individual tiles are no longer visible and become part of a colourful whole full of variation and textures.
